Since 2018, KGxpedition Recon has been leading incredible guided trips that ignite hope and foster a strong sense of camaraderie among Wounded First Responders and Disabled Veterans. Best of all, Hero xpedition trips are completely free for approved Wounded Heroes, with KGX offering an all-inclusive experience at our amazing Base Camp in the stunning Upper Peninsula of Michigan!

What started as a small gathering of men looking to support a local fundraiser has grown into a philanthropic force, raising over $500,000 annually for causes across Westmoreland County and Western Pennsylvania.

Canceled
Unfortunately, due to the cancellation of our reservations by Kentucky State parks, we will have to cancel the 2026 Backroads and Bourbon fundraiser. This marks the second consecutive year that Taylorsville Lake Campground has canceled with us, albeit last year they allowed us to proceed without facilities. We typically book this event in January, but we will not be doing this ever again at Taylorsville lake.. Our team is currently exploring alternative locations, although no confirmation has been made. I would like to extend apologies to all attendees and express our disappointment regarding the untimely cancellation by Kentucky State park, which we believe should have been communicated more promptly or not let us book at all. Please know that this situation was beyond our control, and we are taking steps to prevent such occurrences in the future. All who Donated will be refunded if no other location is found by May first. #kentuckystateparks #taylorsvillelakestatepark
